The next performance of Art Sung – Alma Mahler on Tuesday 28th February is at Wilton’s, the oldest surviving music hall in the world, and described by the Observer critic as “the most beautifully ravaged theatre in London….[with] its barley sugar pillars, wood mouldings, its flitting acrobatic and musical ghosts”. A truly exciting venue for Art Sung – Alma Mahler to make its theatrical debut!

Directed by dynamic opera director, Greg Eldridge, Alma’s vivid diary entries come alive.  Taking advantage of the theatrical setting, award winning video designer, Nina Dunn (www.somethinggraphic.net.) has created fabulous video projections which integrate the accompanying artwork more fully into the music. The songs will also have subtitles appearing together with the paintings.

So, if you have ever shied away from Lieder recitals because you didn’t have a clue what was going on, there is no more excuse!
